HOW COOKIES HELPED SENIOR DOGS ...

Those of you who know me personally know that I love dogs – especially senior rescue dogs. And, of course, I also love making custom decorated sugar cookies.

SomeCookiesBecause combines these two things: 100% of every cookie purchase is donated to (senior) dog rescue organizations.

Choosing which organizations to support is never easy. There is such a great need and so many wonderful groups doing incredible work. This year’s cookie proceeds went to @the.farm.dogs @nebraskanokillcaninerescue and @truefaithfulpetrescuemission

2023 COOKIES WENT TO THE DOGS! I love dogs, and I have a particular soft spot for senior rescues. I've adopted four old dogs: Fiona, Scruffy, Sammy, and now 14-year-old Jack. (Click through for pics of the pups.) Last year, I decided that all my 2023 cookie money would go to the rescue organizations that brought me these wonderful dogs.

Thanks to your support of my little cookie business, I was able to make donations to @littlewhitedogrescue , @nebraskanokillcaninerescue , and @pheenies_beat_lab . Sammy's rescue is no longer in existence, so his cookie money went to @peppers_senior_dog_sanctuary and @truefaithfulpetrescuemission .

This set of cookies went to the @capitalhumanesociety as a "thank you!" for all the work they do sheltering animals in Lincoln and advocating for them.

Colors and design of the dog cookies are direct inspirations from the wonderfully artistic @themillerswifecustomcookies .
